My name is Tamsin Lane and I am the Voluntary Services Co-ordinator at the South Lincolnshire Blind Society.We are a local independent charity who aim to help blind and visually impaired people in the South of Lincolnshire to lead independent lives. We have several Community Support Workers across the South of Lincolnshire, 2 resource centres, a Low Vision service, Newsletters and more.I am currently looking to recruit volunteers in the Spalding, Holbeach & Long Sutton areas to help with home visiting, fundraising and Eye Clinic support at the local Hospitals. If anyone can donate even a couple of hours a year it will really help.

The Acorn project has moved into the area. As well as our work in animal rescue we also specialise in visits to nursing homes and schools. At the moment we are in desperate need of old newspapers, blankets and quilts, and over the next few weeks will need additional animal beds, cages and carriers so we are ready for wildlife in the spring of 2007.
